SUNRISE PRACTICE
Hatha Yoga • Moving Meditation

Begin your day with a 60 minute practice of breath, presence, and gentle movement.

This is Hatha yoga rooted in awareness. A moving meditation designed to meet you exactly where you are.

All levels are welcome. All Bodies and Abilities. No pressure. No judgment. No expectations.

This is your space. Your body. Your breath. Your practice.

Come as you are. Move at your own pace. You will not be embarrassed here.

Taught by Rev. Dr. Shelley Best

MOVING MEDITATION
Deep Rest • Deep Reflection

This is the moment of Savasana.
Where the body softens.
Where the mind becomes still.

Through breath and stillness, you enter a space of moving meditation and mindfulness.

A space to refocus your mind.
A space to uncover opportunities for growth, healing, and peace.

As you rest, your body shifts into the parasympathetic nervous system, the place of restoration and renewal.

Heart rate slows.
Pressure softens.
The body begins to heal.

This is where clarity comes.
This is where focus is restored.

You rise grounded.
Calm.
Ready for the day ahead.

Growth. Healing. Peace.

About your Teacher Rev. Dr. Shelley D. Best

Rev. Dr. Shelley D. Best is a yoga teacher, mindfulness meditation guide, and founder of Creative Disruptor®. Her work integrates Hatha yoga, contemplative practice, and creative inquiry to support embodied awareness, resilience, and personal transformation.

Her teaching is rooted in a trauma-aware Hatha yoga lineage shaped through study with Anne Falkowski of Samadhi Yoga Studio, drawing from Kripalu and Forrest Yoga traditions. She has also trained in the Insight Meditation tradition with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, and is certified in Yoga Nidra through Tracee Stanley.

Her approach combines breath-centered movement, mindfulness, and deep rest to support nervous system regulation and presence, within a framework that prioritizes safety, consent, and accessibility for all levels.

Rev. Dr. Best is also a minister and community leader with decades of experience facilitating transformational spaces, and the founder of The 224 EcoSpace in Hartford, Connecticut, a living creative laboratory for healing and social innovation.
